Arsenal’s Invincible’s -03-04

This Arsenal team where the first in the premier league era to go an entire season unbeaten, something many thought was impossible and a feat that we may never see replicated again. Their record of 26 wins and 12 draws saw them comfortably win the premier league title. With Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Robert Pires playing starring roles in attack and Sol Campbell marshalling their defence this Arsenal team went on to put a run together of 49 league games unbeaten before being beaten 2-0 by Manchester United at Old Trafford. For their unbelievable record it can be argued that this is the greatest team to ever.

Chelsea’s First Premier League Winners 04-05

The season after Arsenal’s Invincible’s dominated the Premier League, Jose Mourinho took his bow as a Premier League manager and quickly set about establishing Chelsea as serious title challengers going forward. Powered by the millions of owner Roman Abramovich, Mourinho assembled a side which went on to set a Premier League record for number of points in a season (95) which is still a record to this day. The team lead by inspirational captain John Terry and midfield goal scorer Frank Lampard would go on retain their title the following  season, giving them a great claim to being the best team the premier league has ever seen.

Manchester United’s Treble Winning Side 98-99

There have been a few Premier League sides which have managed to have double winning seasons, but only one have managed to win the treble (The Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup). This achievement is something that few will ever manage but what is more memorable about this is the way in which the team achieved such greatness. The Premier League was won on the final game of the season with a 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur to finish above Arsenal by a single point. Then they won the FA Cup after defeating Newcastle United 2-0 at Wembley. The final leg of the treble was the most dramatic trailing Bayern Munich 1-0 going into the injury time of the final, United looked on the brink of falling at the final hurdle but injury time goals from Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gave United the most unlikely of victories winning the game 2-1, in what is considered one of the greatest Champions League finals of all time. Again this team has a rightful claim to being the Premier League’s greatest of all time.

Liverpool’s Champions League Come Back 2005

This entry is more to do with the Champions League than the Premier League but it is highly regarded as one of the greatest comebacks in history so has been granted a special inclusion into the list. Liverpool went into the Champions League final as underdogs against a strong and much fancied AC Milan team. The first half went the way many had predicted it would with Milan storming into a 3-0 lead and looking to be cruising to another Champions League crown. A transformed Liverpool team came out for the second half led by talisman Steven Gerrard managed to pull the game back to 3-3 and force the game into extra time. After a tense extra period the game went to penalties. Jerzy Dudek saved the sudden death penalty of Shevchenko and handed Liverpool the most unlikely of victories. To this day football fans of all teams have memories of this night.

Man City Win The Most Dramatic Title Race In History 11-12

Manchester City had been taken over by billionaires and set about to crash the established top four clubs of England in what turned out to be the most dramatic title race ever seen in the Premier League era. Going into the final game of the season Manchester City were above local rivals on goal difference, they knew that a win against QPR would give them their first Premier League crown but any slip up would allow Manchester United to steal the title from them. United comfortably beat Sunderland 2-0 but the real drama was happening at the Etihad as Manchester City trailed 2-1 with five minutes remaining meaning City needed two goals or the tile would be United’s. Edin Dzeko managed to make the game 2-2 and then with seconds remaining Sergio Augero scored one of the most memorable goals in Premier League history to give Manchester City their first Premier League title.

These are just five of the great teams to grace the Premier League and these images capture some of the finest moments in Premier League history. You can turn these images into fantastic canvas prints perfect for fans of these teams.
