The Caribbean is a wonderful place that has thousands of islands to explore all of which can offer the perfect background for them fantastic holiday pictures which can then be turned into canvas prints to be hung in your home. With its fabulous weather, beautiful sandy beaches and welcoming people the Caribbean is an extremely popular holiday destination. Caribbean cruises are something that people say everyone should experience once.

10 Jamaica

 

Jamaica attracts travelers of all types from all over the world. Some come to experience the fantastic Reggae music scene, which was born on the island. Others come to play the world renowned Montego Bay golf course and some come to see the amazing flora and wildlife, the highlight being the many exotic birds that inhabit the island.

9 Puerto Rico

 

As Puerto Rico is part of the U.S. commonwealth, U.S. citizens do not need a passport to visit the island making it a popular destination for many Americans. There is a fantastic mixture of history and nightlife in cities such as San Juan and Ponce. Puerto Rico is also famous for its many beaches popular with surfers and snorkelers.

8 Vieques

 

Vieques is one of the smaller islands and isn’t as well-known as some of its neighbours, which is a benefit for the island as it has remained a lot less commercialised than the other islands around it. With having less than 10,000 inhabitants on the island in can feel quire deserted which is perfect for some. It has a protected area called Mosquito Bay which is very popular with eco-tourists.

7 Antigua

 

Antigua is often grouped with the nearby island of Barbuda. Antigua is a popular destination for gamblers and has a great selection of high class casinos. Antigua has 100s of spectacular beaches filled with both white and pink sand.

6 Bermuda

 

Known as one of the most elegant of the Caribbean Islands, Bermuda has a strong British influence with afternoon tea widely available across the island. Cricket is the sport of the island and you will never be to far away from a game. The island is also popular with golfers and hosts many world class courses.

5 St John

 

St John is part of the U.S. Virgin Islands. St John is a loved destination for snorkelers as Trunk Bay in known as one of the best snorkelling spots in all of the Caribbean as the marine life there is truly spectacular.

4 Anguilla

 

Anguilla is most famous for its white beaches of which there are 30 to choose from.  The island is one of the smaller in the region and can easily be explored within a few days. This island is perfect for those looking for a quieter, less touristy Caribbean experience. However there are still some excellent nightlife spots to be found.

3 Barbados

 

Barbados has a wide range of accommodations and activities which appeal to a wide spectre of tourists and budgets. It has a diversity of landscapes and cultural activities. The famous city of Bridgetown is known for its nightlife and Harrison’s Cave is also a very popular tourist spot.

2 St Lucia

 

Considered as one of the most beautiful of the Caribbean Islands. St Lucia is a popular spot for honeymooners. It has many all-inclusive resorts, a lush landscape with mountains as well as pristine beaches. The island also holds an annual jazz festival in the spring.

1 Aruba

 

Aruba offers a diverse number of activities for people of all ages. It is an extremely family friendly, with a host of resorts that are especially for families. It also has a world famous nightlife including a number of nightclubs and casinos. Aruba has a slightly different landscape to other Caribbean islands, with more of a desert appearance rather than forests.
